We might not have managed to get greenery put around the advent wreath, but the kids don't mind what we do as long as we get to light the candles and ring the bells while singing O Come O Come Emmanuel. Michael is particularly enjoying the bells but the other kids have all independently told us that this is one of their favourite traditions.
