A good helper

Elizabeth and I "helped" Grandma H pack their apartment yesterday as Grandma and Grandpa prepare to leave for Portugal next week.  (They are headed overseas for a year of language training before heading to Angola to serve as missionaries with MAF.)

Elizabeth is great at removing items from boxes and baskets, but we're still working on the concept of tidying up.  She also loves to "help" with laundry, spreading clothes far and wide across the room.  So you can imagine the trail of destroyed paper she left at Grandma's!  She really enjoyed herself, although she was a little incredulous that not only was she suddenly allowed to play with these papers (destined for the recycling bin), but Grandma even helped her rip them up!

I so enjoyed your delightful giggle, Elizabeth, as you ripped up that paper. It was almost as if you thought you were allowed to be naughty! Kind of tricky to know when such a wild thing is being allowed, isn't it.
