Garden 2018

On the flower side, we found annuals in the right colours to more or less make our floral rainbow. Amelia was pleased.

I didn't thin the carrots enough, but there was SOME corn, some lima beans and many many tomatoes.

On the whole I was pleased with the garden this year despite the complete failure of the pumpkins and melons. We had a very good crop of currants - far more than we could ever hope to use so the kids had a good time picking and eating.

I managed jam and canned peaches too. Unfortunately one of my batches got left on until 3 am which meant that this is the year that I discovered it is possible to burn canned peaches if you cook them for six hours instead of thirty minutes.
