Parenthood - 2009-05-10 Another Auntie

Dave invited us over for an excellent mother's day dinner tonight - as he put it "so that none of the mothers in
our crew would feel obliged to do any cooking!" (Yes, I have an awesome brother!)

We were very excited to hear that he proposed to Karen yesterday and Elizabeth is going to have another Auntie! Don't they look happy? We really needed a camera that can do proper manual focus to get the effect we were trying to achieve, but as Brendan's dad would say, at least they are "artistically valuable" and they do show the beautiful ring. The engagement ring first belonged to my paternal Grandmother. I heard that my Grandfather sent it to my Grandmother by mail, so it has quite a history. Needless to say we are thrilled to have Karen joining our family - Praise God!

Elizabeth stayed up way past bedtime and fell asleep on Grandma. She was so tired that she didn't even wake up when we put her in her car seat, or when we took her out, or even when we put her into bed!
